My school in photo

Introduction

Photojournalism is a particular form of journalism(the collecting, editing, and presenting of news material for publication or broadcast) that creates images in order to tell a news story. It is now usually understood to refer only to still images, but in some cases the term also refers to video used in broadcast journalism.

Year six students work together in groups of five to brainstorm, research and take photos of schoollife to present them at the end of the school year.

Task

Working in groups of five you are required to brainstorm 'everything great' about our schooll and record your thinking on a Mindmap.  You then must decide which ideas are the most relevant and persuasive for your intended audience.

You will be taking pictures based on the topic assigned to your group. The groups are provided with corresponding topics as shown below.

Group 1 – school buildings

Group 2 – teachers

Group 3 – students

Process

Step 1:  Devise 3 Groups of Five

Step 2: Before you begin, become familiar with how your camera works.

Step 3: Think what do you want to have on photos and write here in mindmap

Step 4:TAKE PHOTOS!!!!!!!!!!! LOT OF THEM !!!!!!!!

Step 5: Choose the best of them

Step 6: Get editing. (crop, saturation etc)

Step 7:Publish your photos.
