Introduction
COASTAL MANAGEMENT
BONDI BEACH VIRTUAL FILEDWORK
Stage 5 Geography incorporates learning about the Australian Geographic environment through the study of human and physical interaction in a local context. Focusing on coastal management, this is a virtual fieldwork which expects students to have revised their geographical skills in order to complete the four hours value of activities. The activities are based on the dramatic coast of Sydney’s Bondi Beach, combining a bittersweet experience of an exotic beach, colossal headlands, pleasurable rock pool, heritage and indigenous culture, striking fauna and flora, invaded coastal paths, eroded rocks, polluted sands, destroyed vegetation and human invasion causing global warming, affecting the climatic and weather changes.
