Process
Converting numbers from their original form to scientific notation is not as hard as it seems.
When trying to distinguish a large number from a small number, it is helpful to remember that a negative exponent is a small number and a postitve exponent is a large number.

Scientific Notation is very helpful when trying to compute very large or very small numbers. It makes multiplying or dividing big or small numbers much simpler. All in all, scientific notation makes working with large or small numbers easier.
