Introduction
In preparing for our visit to Crystal Bridges we will be going on an adventure to explore some of the wonderful works of art they have on display!
Task
Your task is to browse the Crystal Bridges artwork online. Chose one piece that you really connect with and find out more about the artist, medium, and historical context. Browse all types of art! Look at paintings, sculpture and paper pieces!
Process
After you select a piece of art you should answer the following questions in your writer's notebook;
1. Who is the artist?
2. What is the subject of the piece?
3. What is the medium used?
4. What is the message the artist is portraying through the piece?
5. What is the historical context of the piece?
Evaluation
You will take your gathered infomation, along with an image of your chosen piece and create an informative essay. This essay will be graded based on the rubric given in class.
