Introduction
Look around you. Everything you see is made up of shapes. Throughout this WebQuest you will be using your knowledge of two dimensional shapes to identify, classify and create special quadrilaterals.

Task
Imagine that your are a teacher. You have a classroom full of students eager to learn anout quadrilaterals. Using your knowledge, imagine that you are presenting this information to your students for the first time. Be as thorough and detailed as possible.
Your task is to create a poster, powerpoint, song, video, etc. to demonstrate your knowledge of quadrilaterals. Use your imagination and be creative, opportunities are endless!
Process
1. Define Vocabulary
Using your textbook and/or math websites, create an accurate, detailed definition of every term you use.

2. Angles
In the first part of your project you will review angles. Measuring, classifying, drawing and defining angles are concepts that you will include in your presentation.

3. Polygons
Complete the worksheet on polygons to help you create definitions. Once the page is complete log onto GeoGebra. You will be constructing polygons to print off as a visual for your project (and a grade for the class). You must construct 10 polygons and identify their names.

4. Quadrilaterals
- Define quadrilaterals.
- Identify different quadrilaterals based on their charecteristics.
- Categorize the quadrilaterals into categories based on their charecteristics (some quadrilaterals will fit into more than one category).

Common Core Standards met:
CCSS.MATH.CONTENT.HSG.CO.A.1
Know precise definitions of angle, circle, perpendicular line, parallel line, and line segment, based on the undefined notions of point, line, distance along a line, and distance around a circular arc.
CCSS.MATH.CONTENT.HSG.CO.A.2
Represent transformations in the plane using, e.g., transparencies and geometry software; describe transformations as functions that take points in the plane as inputs and give other points as outputs. Compare transformations that preserve distance and angle to those that do not (e.g., translation versus horizontal stretch).
CCSS.MATH.CONTENT.HSG.CO.D.12
Make formal geometric constructions with a variety of tools and methods (compass and straightedge, string, reflective devices, paper folding, dynamic geometric software, etc.).
CCSS.MATH.CONTENT.HSG.MG.A.1
Use geometric shapes, their measures, and their properties to describe objects (e.g., modeling a tree trunk or a human torso as a cylinder).
Congruence
- Experiment with transformations in the plane
- Understand congruence in terms of rigid motions
- Prove geometric theorems
- Make geometric constructions
