Introduction

INTRODUCTION
Going to a restaurant and having a meal is usually something people do, mostly when they are on holidays because it helps them to know more about the food and customs from the place they are visiting. Also, dialogues at the restaurant are quite helpful for language learners because it is a place where they need to use the language they know or at least try.
In the Gallery and UK/US section you will find photos, videos and information for creating a conversation at the restaurant.
Task

THE TASK
You have to work in small groups of 3/4 people. You will have to create a video acting out a situation at the restaurant in which you have to order food and/or be the waiter. The dialogue must include at least one person with a British accent and another one with American accent and you will have to order starter, main course and a dessert.
The final video have to last at least 1 minute and a half and you can take the video at the Webquest section as a model.
Process
PROCESS
First, you will dicide in the groups the character you want to dramatize. You will choose between the waiter/waitress or customers.
After that, you will prepare the speech with the help of the notes you can find in the resources section. You can also find help with the videos at the restaurant and with all the information about pronunciation in UK/US section. After you have your speech prepared, you can start to practice the accent you will use.
After having all the speeches ready and the pronunciation practiced, you can start to record the video with your mobiles or cameras.
Remember to check the volume of your voices and to sound as clear as possible.
Finally, when you have your video ready you can send it to your teacher to biancaabranyg@gmail.com
