Task
YOUR TASK:
Future storm chasers, you are on your way to Tornado Alley in Oklahoma to track your first storm. The duration of your trip is three days. Your first taks is to keep a detailed journal of your experience. Once your trip is over, your second task is to submit an article to your local paper describing your first storm chase. In your article you will include preparations and safety precautions that your community needs to take.
Your first day in Tornado Alley you will learn about storm chasing, how tornadoes form, preparation for a storm, and safety.
The tornado is predicted to touchdown on your second day. When writing in your journal include all details about the tornado, for example: the time the tornado touched down, strength, duration, what you see and hear, what precautions have been taken, and/or immediate damages.


Your final day is a wrap up of events. Before leaving you help the locals clean and repair as much as possible. You make sure you have everything you need for your newspaper article and say goodbye to your new storm chasing friends.
After arriving home, take your journal entries and create a newspaper article recounting your experience. Describe your storm chasing adventure and also inform your community about the dangers and safety precautions needed; even if you do not live near Tornado Alley, a tornado can happen anywhere.
