Introduction
You are a member of the Cryptozoology club on campus. Most people don't know that cryptozoology is the study of legendary creatures and animals. Over the next couple of days you will be creating a research report on a crytpid due 11-3-17.
Please be advised- Do not pick anything that is supernatural like ghosts or demons.-- those are paranormal and not cryptids.
Task
Task-Individual research report- should have at least 3 sources, length at least two pages or 550 words- depending on the popularity of your crytpid. (Not inlcuding workcited page- Must be in MLA format
Process
For the group project:
1. The first thing you need to do is select use the websites below to pick a creature to research.

2. You should then conduct research to find information about your creature
For the research report:
The minimum length is 550 words. This will be done in class and independently. should have at least 3 sources. Think about the history of the creature, the culture it comes from, what are the logical explanations for the "existance" of the creature. Think about including location maps, visuals of the creature, personal encounter stories, and anything else you find interresting.
Evaluation
The essay is worth 100 points.-- Essay is due Tuesday 10-31-17 to turnitin.com by 3:10pm

Conclusion
With this project, you have learned some basic research and presentation skills. Also, you have learned that there are many different types of mythical and legendary creatures out there to inspire people's imaginations. Some were based on real creatures and others were only in the imaginations of writers and artists. Or are they?
