Introduction

What are active voice?

In active sentences, the thing doing the action is the subject of

in the sentence and the thing receiving the action is the object

[Thing doing action] + [verb] + [thing receiving action]

Examples:

The professor of chemistry teaches the students

Simple Present Tense

Subject + V1 + object + adverb

Subject + (does not/do not) + V1 + object + adverb

(does /do) + subject + V1 + object + adverb?

Subject + (is/are/am) + noun/adjective/adverb

Subject + (is/are/am) + not + noun/adjective/adverb

(is/are/am) + subject + noun/adjective/adverb?

Example :

Once a week, Tom cleans the chemistry laboratory.

Present Continuos Tenses

Subject + tobe + V-ing + object + adverb

Subject + tobe + not + V-ing + object + adverb

tobe +subject + V-ing + object + adverb ?

Example :

Right now, Sarah is studying the chemistry.

Present Perfect Tense

Subject + (has /have) + V3 + object + adverb

Subject + (has /have) + not + V3 + object + adverb

Example :

Many students have visited that textile factory.

Simple Past Tenses

Subject + V2 + object + adverb

Subject + did not + V1 + object + adverb
