Introduction

Welcome to our First Grade Webquest:

   The Four Seasons

Spike  our school mascot wants to learn all about the four seasons.  In order for Spike to become a Four Seasons Expert, he needs help from YOU!!!   

Get ready to help him learn the names of the four seasons and how the weather is different during each season.  

Task

You will learn all about winter, spring, summer and fall. You are going to work in groups of five people. In your groups,using the materials and information you brought from home, complete the following:

***Name all the four seasons.
***Describe how the weather changes from season to season.
***Name the months of the year for each season.

***Describe how what we wear is connected to the season.

*** Name some outdoors activities you can do in each season.

***Make a poster of the four seasons.

***Make a presentation to the class.

I know you will have tons of fun.  Let's get started!! 

Process

Before you begin,Spike has a hint for you get a piece of paper and take some notes about each season. You may need this information later!   

1. Watch and listen to the song "Four Seasons in a Year". You can also watch and listen to "Seasons Song". Learn all about how the four seasons are different from each other.What are some of the characteristics of each season?  (watch the videos in youtube)

2. Watch them as many times as you need to.
3. Make a group poster of the four seasons using the information gathered during you search at home.
4. You will give a presentation to the class describing what you have learned about the four seasons.
