In this assignment, you will pick a state to research and find informtion about.  Try to pick a state you haven't traveled to before.  

Here is what type of information you will be looking for:

  • What is the location of your state? (include bordering states, bodies of water, countries)
  • What is the nickname of the state?
  • What is the population?
  • What are the state symbols? (flower, flag, tree, bird, state motto)
  • What are some points of interest? (National Park, Historical Site, or another place)
  • What does the state license plate look like? 
Process

Now that you understand the task, it is time to start your research! This is a long task with a lot of information, but I know you can do it.: )

  1. Choose which state you are going to find information about.  
  2. Start gathering information:  
  • What is the location of your state? (include bordering states, bodies of water, countries)
  • What is the nickname of the state?
  • What is the population?
  • What are the state symbols? (include flower, tree, bird & state motto)
