Introduction
The bloodiest war in U.S. history (the Civil War) left our country cripled and torn in two. Four years long the war went on. Friends, sometimes siblings, fought against each other. Studies show that anywhere from 620,000 to 850,000 people died because of the war and for what? Slavery? States rights?
Task
Your task is to reserch and then write a paper on the causes of the civil war and the events that lead up to it. You will need at least three causes/events and three sources. I will give you three sources to choose from but at least one has to be a source that you have found on your own. The paper must be between 650-850 words (two to three pages).

Use the sources below to finish the assignment. Like I said before one of your sources has to be one you found on your own. Sources can be anything but must be credible.

Conclusion
The point of this assignment is to understand why the Civil War happened and what events caused it. Hint: you will have to research well before the Civil War to understand the origin of the causes.
