Florida Plants!

Introduction

Florida has some amazing plants! Let's learn about the most common plants in Florida!

Task

Using the instructions your teacher gave you create a poster with the most common plants in Florida! Make sure there is at least one fact per plant and incldue pictures! (These pictures can be drawn or printed)

Process

Using the Map locate the United states. Now locate Florida. 

The Capital of the United States is Washington D.C. The Capital of Florida is Tallahasseee. 

Be sure to include this on your poster. 

Evaluation

The Orange Blossom:

The Orange Blossom is Florida's national flower. It can be found on an orange tree. 

Sabal Palm:

The Sabal Palm is Florida's state tree. The Sabal Palm is also known as the cabbage palm.

Coreopsis:

The Coreopsis is Florida's wildflower. They are commonly yellow but can also be other colors.

Red Mangrove:

The most well known. It grows along the water's edge. 

Black Mangrove:

Grows more upland than the Red mangrove. His finger like projections coming out of the ground near it.

White Mangrove:

Grows in the highest part of upland. It has green and yellow leaves.
