  Calling all Patriots!  We have been asked to research United States symbols.  Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to create a digital book that will help the teachers of lower elementary students teach patriotic symbols to their students! 
 

Task

 You will be making a digital book about a United States of America Symbol.  It will be presented to students in first and second grade classrooms. 

Process

The Process

1.  You will be conducting individual research to gather information about a United States symbol of your choice.   Research may be done using the Internet links provided, encyclopedias, or reference books from the public or school library.

2.  Each page should contain a picture related to the information given about the symbol.

*Be sure to tell us where the symbol is located! 

*Be sure to tell us what the symbol represents!

*Be sure to tell us when, how and why the symbol was created!

*Include at least 4 other important facts about the symbol.

3.   You may use this checklist to make sure that you are collecting all of the required information and completing all parts of the assignment. You will use a storyboard graphic organizer to design your book. This must be approved by your teacher before you move on to the creation phase of this project.  

4.  You will create your book using "Adobe Voice" on your ipads.

 You will use the resources found below to research the information on the Internet. Encyclopedias and reference books may be found in your classroom or school library.
