Introduction
This webquest is based off of the book Number the Stars by Lois Lowry.
Introduction
The year is 1945 and your name is Ann Marie Johansen. You're ten years old living in Copenhagen, Denmark and everyone expects you to mature faster because of the world war going on around you. The Nazis have occupied your city which makes life frightening and not a very exciting place at a young age. Even worse, the Jews are being relocated and your best friend, Ellen Rosen happens to be Jewish.
What would you do if it was up to you to save your best friend's life by facing the Nazis? Would you be brave enough to accept the mission?
For the next few weeks we will be reading the book Number the Stars by Lois Lowry and we will be doing a series of activties on this webquest to help us better understand the hardships of being torn between childhood and adolescence.
Task
Over the next few weeks you will be completing a series of tasks to help you better understand the book. There will be a final project once we are finished reading the book so make sure not to fall behind with the reading or this webquest!
