Let's Climb Mount Olympus

Introduction

Mount Olympus is rumbling and Zeus is furious! The people of today do not understand the Greek gods and goddesses and their importance to the Greek people of old. To calm Zeus and the other gods and goddesses, you must become familiar with these deities and share how they are still important today! In order to do this, you will research Greek mythology and complete a series of journeys. So, get your climbing gear ready and start exploring!

Task

Your task is to explore the Greek gods, goddesses, and heroes.  You must use the resources given to you to discover the importance of these legends and deities in Greek culture.  Your final task will be to use the knowledge you have gathered to create a 3-D cube on one of the gods, goddess or heroes.

Process

Journey #1

To pacify the gods and goddesses, you will answer a series of questions. These questions will help you discover the gods, goddesses and heroes of Greek mythology. Use the resources found here.

Journey #2

Use the information that you have gathered and make a 3-D cube on one of the god, goddesses, or heroes.

Evaluation

You must complete both journeys.  Be sure that the data that you record is accurate.

When you work on your cube, remember to be creative.

Conclusion

The Greek gods and goddesses are how happy! Mount Olympus is no longer in choas. After completing the journeys, you have learned about the gods, goddesses and heroes. The gods and goddesses realize that they are still important in the world today. Make the gods and goddesses even more happy by sharing your knowledge with others.
