Origami - the art of paper folding

Introduction

Origami

  • Origami is a Japanese art form where the goal of is to transform a flat sheet of paper into a finished sculpture through folding and sculpting techniques (ie. Paper airplanes)

Today you will learn how to make some origami art!

Task

Choose a partner and choose the object that you would like to create. Make sure you talk to the other groups to avoid making the same origami. There will be a presentation of your origami and be prepared to teach and show the rest of the class step-by-step on how to create the origami. Have fun!

Evaluation

You will be assessed on the following criteria:

  • Have a completed model of your origami /5
  • Clearly able to demonstrate and present /5
  • Bonus: Depending on the difficulty of the origami, you may be able to get bonus points up to 3 point(s)
