ANGLES AND RADIAN MEASURE

Introduction

Hi students, today you will begin converting degree measures to radian measures and visa versa.  Take notes as you go and be prepared to ask questions and continue on Thursday.

You will be visiting several websites which have practice embedded so you can check yourself along the way.

Go to Mathisfun - Degrees (click the link) and read all about angles and their measures.

Go to Mathisfun - Radians (click the link) to learn about radians and how to convert from degrees to radians.

Go to Mathisfun - Unit Circle (click the link) to learn about radians and degrees of the Unit Circle.

  • Explore the circle just for general information, look at "Degrees" and "Radians"

Go to MyMathLab, click on Multimedia Library to investigate 5.1 a little more about radians and how to convert between degrees and radians.
