Introduction

A computer system consists of numerous componets. Each component serves an important purpose and contributes to the overall function of the computer. This WebQuest aims to help students identify different computer components, and use Microsoft Word to communicate information.

Task

Complete the following tasks:

  1. Research computer system components
  2. Choose a specific component
  3. Create a tri-fold brochure using Microsoft Word to inform on the chosen computer component
Process

Below are the processes to successfully complete the tasks:

STEP 1:

Answer the following questions in a Microsoft Word document:

  1. What is a computer?
  2. What are the major components of a computer system?
  3. What are input devices? What are their main purpose? List any 5.
  4. What are output devices? What are their main purpose? List any 5.

STEP 2:

Create a tri-fold brochure using Microsoft Word. The brochure must include:

  1. graphic image of selected computer system component
  2. the selected computer system component: definition, function, advantages, and disadvantages. Use bulleted list to represent these.

STEP 3:

  1. Print Microsoft Word document containing solution to STEP 1
  2. Print brochure and tri-fold properly
  3. Attach both printed documents and submitted for grade
