Introduction

Mission:

Students will navigate through this webquest in search of artifacts of life during the Colonial Times.  Explore related topics including Native Americans, the Pilgrim Voyage, life in Jamestown, and the 13 American Colonies.

Task

Task 1:

Discover America through the eyes of the indigenous people: Native Americans.


Task 2:

Discover America through the eyes of the Pilgrims.


Task 3:

Explore Jamestown: America's first colony and learn about the 13 original colonies.

Using the attached grading rubric, complete a project that demonstrates your learning of the material.  

Ideas for presentation:

  1. Essay- must include artifacts from each task
  2. Group/Independent presentation (Oral, Prezi, Powerpoint, etc.)
  3. Create a video depicting life in Colonial America
  4. Create a time capsule and show us the artifacts you discovered
  5. Become a Colonial character who can tell us about life in the colonies
  6. Another project of your choice (approved by Ms. Cowan)
