The Animals need your help!!!!!!
Around the world there are many species who are critically endangered, endangered, vulnerable, and near threatened. There are a vareity of threats that can cause these animals to face the threat of extinction. In this webquest you will learn about the threats these animals are facing,where the animal is from and how YOU can help!

-The Story of the tiger-
The tiger, one of the most magnificent animals in the world, is also one of the most endangered species in the world. A cat of beauty, strength, and majesty, the tiger is master of all and subject to none — except humans. Can you imagine a world without the beautiful tiger? Animals like the tiger need your help. Now it is your turn!
Task
Your task will be to learn about a specific animal and try to raise awareness for this animal by presenting your findings to the class!

You will be visiting the site
in order to pick an animal and find information about it. You will present the animals status, population, scientific name, weight, habitat, why they matter, threats, and what world wildlife foundation is doing to help your animal! All of this information can be found on the website given above!
Overall your slide show should be set up like the following-
Slide 1- Animal Status
Slide 2-Population
Slide 3- Scientific Name
Slide 4- Weight
Slide 5-Habitat
Slide 6- Why the animal matters

Slide 8-What world wildlife foundation is doing to help your animal
Process

1. To begin with you and your partner will explore the website https://www.worldwildlife.org
** If needed you can also research your animal on other websites once you have picked the animal. Some examples are listed below. You will be expected to research on appropriate sites.

2. After looking around the website you will then need to choose your animal!
3. You and your partner will both work together to answer the questions listed in the task section.
These questions include:
-Animal Status
-Population
-Scientific Name
-Weight
-Habitat
-Why the animal matters
-Threats
-What world wildlife foundation is doing to help your animal
4. The students will compile their research into a power point presentation. This presentation should be at least 8 slides and should include pictures of the animal and the animals habitat to make the power point more exciting.
5. After the power point is complete both partners will be expected to present their slideshow to the class.
