Introduction
This webquest will take you on a journey of Ohio to determine the rocks and minerals that are specific to our state AND explain why these rocks and minerals are located in our state.
Task
Step One: Identify a rock or mineral from the packet that your and your partners want to explore. Skim/Read about your rock or mineral in the materials provided to you in paper. Make notes in your geologist journal.
Step Two: Use the web to find out if there is any additional information about your specific rock or mineral AND OHIO.....do not use information about it in other states---we are interested in how it landed here in OHIO....take notes in your explorer journal
Step Three: Create a poster to talk about your information from your explorer journal notes. Do not COPY information directly--use your own words!

You also could "google" your rock or mineral BUT include the word Ohio with it!!!
Evaluation
I have provided you a rubric on your grading information- It is similar to other posters we have completed.
There is ALSO a group member participation sheet that we will complete at the END of this project!
Conclusion
I hope this has reinforced the concepts learned along your rocks and minerals journey and gets you excited to visit different locations in Ohio to find the rocks and minerals we find/found in our quest!
