Anaerobic Respiration

Introduction

Anaerobic respiration is the process that organism's use to carry out cellular respiration without oxygen. Anaerobic respiration does not use the Krebs Cycle instead it uses a process called fermentation.

Task

In this webquest we are going to be going through three different websites and answer questions throughout each website.

Process

     1) What is the first step in cellular respiration?

     2) What is the product of glycolysis?

     3) What 2 processes make up anaerobic respiration?

     1) What does fermentation complement?

     2) What does fermentation regenerate?

     3) What does fermentation make possible?

http://www.shmoop.com/cell-respiration/fermentation-anaerobic-respirati…

     1) What does anaerobic respiration break food down into?

     2) Name some places where an organism might use anaerobic respiration?

     3) What type of metabolism accepts electrons in the ETC?

Conclusion

I learned that anaerobic respiration plays a bigger role than I thought, because without anaerobic respiration life wouldnt exist.
