Introduction
This WebQuest is an introduction to the book Wuthering Heights. You and your classmates are in charge of analyzing the characters in this story and defining their actions, motives, characteristics, and goals both on the surface and below it. Each of you should read the content posted and then complete the assignments for each section in order to gain a better understanding of the novel as a whole. Upon completion of this WebQuest, you will be expected to give a presentation to the class on what you learned from the assignments.
Task
You will use the links provided to explore and understand key elements of a Byronic character. After you do this, you will each fill out a journal describing how Heathcliff fits the description of a Byronic character. The journal MUST be at least one page in length. After completing this WebQuest, you should acheive the following goals:
1) Develop an interest in the study of Wuthering Heights
2) Learn information about the characteristics of a Byronic character
3) Critically analyze the character of Heathcliff
4) Learn to form an opinion based on past knowledge, experience, and the information you have learned from the book
