Tourism and Types of Tourism

Introduction

The word tourism is widely known. People talk about the tourism benefits and even understand it as an important activity for a country to increase incomes. Nevertheless, do people really know what tourism is or where and how this industry started; or do people know how many types of tourism exist in Panama and the rest of the world.

Task

Your job is to explore various web sites to help in your understanding of what tourism is. Individually, you will research this information to answer questions and take notes. You will use the data collected to make recommendations to the Tourism School at University.

Step 5: Think and write your own types of tourism that might be exploded in Panama. Do not explain, just mention why.

Evaluation

Students will be graded based on the following for a total of 100pts.

Essay about his/her opinion about the definition of tourism presented in the link. 30 pts
CastAway activities. 50 pts
Hangman game words and sentences. 30 pts.
Information about possible types of tourism in Panama is accurate and appropriate. 15 pts
Effort and participation. (actively working at all times). 5 pts
¡Be careful! Grammar and spelling will be checked

Conclusion

Write a ten lines essay about the new things you learnt during this webquest activities. Please write a little conclusion. 20 pts.
