Causes & Consequences of Exploration, Settlement, and Growth

Introduction

Have you ever discovered something totally new? Did it excite you, or terrify you? Several men (and sometimes women!) in history have been brave enough to try new things and discover the land that we walk on today. Can you imagine if America had never been found? Where do you think you might live if this country had never been discovered. You are about to travel back in time, and learn more about the brave heros who discovered this land.

Task

To stretch your knowledge of the men who discovered this nation, research these 3 names.

***Clicking on their name will take you to a website where you can learn more about their story.***

2. Where the person is from.

3. How their efforts helped America.

You will be completing this task based on a chart provided in the "Process" section.
