Ancient Egyptian God/Goddess

Research and Poster Project

You will be researching one of the gods or goddesses of Ancient Egypt and then creating a poster to display your research.  You will be given 2 class periods to conduct online research.  More research and creation of the poster will be done OUTSIDE of class time.  You will have 10 days, including a weekend, to complete this project.

Due Date:  FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 14th 

Using the following websites and books provided in Ms. Hughes classroom, you will complete the research information required for this project prior to creating your poster.  Ms. Hughes has provided you with the handout on which you will write the information you have found about your particular God or Goddess of Ancient Egypt.

Help:  You may ask your shoulder partner or a table group member 1st for clarification then Raise your hand for teacher assistance.

Activity:  Online and Book research over a God or Goddess of Ancient Egypt

Movement:  ONLY out of seat to get a book from the book table, sharpen pencil or getting a kleenex

Participation:  To gain a better understanding of the role Gods and Goddesses played in Ancient Egyptian society

Research Process (you will write this on your research handout):

• Name of God or Goddess
• Powers they have
• Appearance (describe in words on research paper and then draw on poster)
• 10 Facts about your God or Goddess (at least 5 will go on your poster)
