Introduction

One afternoon the city of Pompeii was completely destroyed. On August 24, AD 79 Mount Vesuvius erupted. No one was waiting for the volcano to explode. It was very sudden and only a few people go to escape, leaving everything else to be covered in ashes. The city that had once been rich and beautiful as left to burn. Pompeii was only rediscovered in 1748.
Task
Your task will be to create a colorful and creative poster board about the city of Pompeii and its big tragedy. You must have how the city was before the eruption, what happened to it when the volcano erupted, and when did it erupt. You are going to have to work diligently, and most important of all, have fun and learn!!!

Where is Mount Vesuvious located? Why was the city so well preserved? Who watched the eruption from Misenum and described it? How did most people die? How was the city before the eruption?
Second, make an outline of what you want to specificly put in your poster (optional). Make at leat three paragraphs about Mount Vesuvius and Pompeii.
Thrid, find one or two pictures to go with your progect. You may also draw pictures if you want.
Fourth, be creative and add your stile to the poster. Add color.

I am grading this by creativity, accuracy, grammar, spelling, and format.
15% grammar
20% spelling
20% creativity
20% accuracy - if your progect does not have the history of the Vesuvius then 10 points are take of.
25% format - if you only have 2 paragraphs 2 points will be deducted, 1 paragraph minus 4 points.
You must have a title, a conclusion, and your name in your progect.
Every day it is late it is 5 points of.
Conclusion
Congratulations you have now learned about what happened to a beautiful city. I hope you had a great time doing this. You should have learned that the Mount Vesuvius erupted and destroyed the city of Pompeii. Also that the city was preserved very well because of how quick everything was covered by lava. I hope you learned that you have to appreciate each day you have.
