Introduction
The Pax Romana was the height of the Roman Empire under Ceaser Augustus. It means "Roman Peace", beginning in 27 B.C.E until 180 C.E., about 200 years or so. In this time, Jesus was born. The population of the Roman Empire at this time grew to about 70 million people. Although there was still fighting but mostly in Spain and the Alps, civil wars stopped so there was nothing major. In this time of peace, there was an increase in trading, unity of the people, and most spoke the same language. They also increaseed plenty in land areas.
