Introduction

     We will have a tour on the famous spots in the Philippines. We know that there are many places to visit here in the Philippines but you and your partner will be our tour guides. Introduce two places and convince the class to go to those amazing places.

Task

     You and your partner will choose two tourist spots here in the Philippines. However, before you can be our tour guides, both of you must be particular of the places you want to introduce to us by doing research using the Internet. We will be working on this project for three days.

   

Process

Day 1: You will have a research on the different tourist spots here in the Philippines. You can use these following sources:

You can also use other sources if you wish to but be sure to present it to the class.

Day 2: After you have completed the web, you and your partner will choose two tourist destinations to intoduce to the class. Once you have choosen two destinations, you have to answer the following guide questions:

What is the name of the tourist spot?

Where is it located?

What are the features of the tourist spot?

Day 3: When you are done researching  you and your partner will put the information into a power point presentation.  You will present your power point presentation on the third day.

Your presentation should be at least 5 minutes long and include:
                            A title page with the tour guides' names on it

                            At least 1 picture of each tourist spots

                            At least 2 of the questions listed above answered and organized

                            At least 1 interesting fact about the tourist destination   

                            Different backgrounds and colors

                            At least 5 Internet sources

Conclusion

     This lesson provides students with knowledge and practice in social studies, language arts, and computers.  The lesson is intended for the 6th grade.

     Students will research tourist spots in the Philippines. They will gain new knowledge of different tourist destination located only in the Philippines by brainstorming, researching, and viewing their peers' presentations.  Students will also get practice in working with others and learn about cooperation.

     The students will gain knowledge of computers while researching the Internet and putting together a power point presentation.  There is also a lot of room for creativity in this lesson.
