Introduction

What are your favorite foods? Are they nutritious? Are the foods you are eating helps your body to be strong?
I'm sure you have lots of favorite foods. Some will say chicken. Some likes fish or egg or just bread. Some will say vegetables and fruits.
Do you know that the foods you are eating belong to group of foods? There are three food groups. The Grow Foods which help you to grow big and strong. The Glow Foods which they help you have shiny hair and sparkly eyes. And lastly, the Go Foods which they help you run, jump and play all day.

Now, I want you to imagine yourself in a restaurant. All the foods are in front of you. All your favorite foods are there. What will you order? Are the foods you will order nutritious and healthy? Will the foods help you grow big and strong? Will the foods that you will order help you have shiny hair and sparkly eyes? Or the foods will help you run, jump and play all day?

Task

In this activity, the students will make a compilation of their favorite foods. These are the steps to be followed:

  1.  The child will browse the pages of the magazine and look for his favorite foods.
  2. After looking for the foods, he will cut it from the magazine.
  3. Paste it on a Bond Paper.
  4. Under each Drawing, the child will write the name of the food.
  5. Then beside the name of the food, the child will write where does the food belongs. Is the food a grow food glow food  or go food?
  6. After cutting, pasting and labeling, the child will compile it on a folder.
  7. And lastly, the child will present it to the class.
