What are the planets in our solar system?

Over the years we have learned more and more about the Solar System and the planets that make up our solar system. In this activity you will team up with three others in your class and research one planet of the solar system. Find out what it looks like, where it is in the solar system, as well as the texture and whether there could possibly be life on this planet. 

 

Task

Your task at hand is to team up with your group and investigate a planet from our solar system. Find out if the planet is rockey or gasy, what color the planet it, the size of the planet, possible life on this planet, ect. Then create a drawingof the planet to be hung in the classroom. Planet light

Process

1. Your group will research a planet from out solar system.

2. You will find out what the planet it like, which order the planet is in, how far from the sun, the size of the planet, and if there could be life on this planet. 

3. You will then type up a description of the planet. 

4. Finally you will draw this planet and they will be hung on the wall in order.

Description covers the complete planet. 
Description includes all featurs of the planet such as the texture, size, color, position, atmosphere, possible life, and any other important information of planet.

Pictures Pictures of planet show great effort. Pictures show acurracy of what planet looks like, color, size, texture etc.  Pictures of planet show good effort. Planet details are some what accurate.  Pictures of planet show little effort. Planet details are not very accurate.  Pictures show little to no effort. Details of planet are not accurate. 
Participation Students participated equally in the group and worked together to finish the project.  Students participated somewhat equally in the group and worked together for the most part.  Students participation was not equal in the group and they worked together very little.  Student participation was not equal in the group and they did not work together. 
Research Projects represented a great amount of research in order to provide an accurate description of the planet.  projects represented a good amount of research in order to provide a mostly accurate description. Good work groups! With all of your hard work and research along with your wonderful artistic skills we have successfuly recreated the solar system in the correct order. You guys provided a great amount of information to provide us with more knowledge of each planet of our solar system.
