You are going to learn all about poetry.
You are going to practise writing different forms of poetry with a partner.
You are going to create a POETRY PORTFOLIO using google docs
Process

Step 1
To understand how to write good poetry, you have to understand what devices are used.
Create a definitions page using your google docs.
find the definition of each of these terms and give a general example under each - YOUR OWN!
similie, antonym, onomatopeia, alliteration, repetition, metaphor, idiom
Step 2
Go onto the website below to find two different poems that you like.
Using a double bubble graphic organiser compare and contrast these two poems. Copy and paste both poems onto your google docs "poem portfolio". try and find two completely different poems so that you are able to find heaps of differences!
Step 3
Using the websites below to help you, write a:
shape poem, bio poem, haiku, cinquain, diamante and similie poem
(minimum of 1 but MORE is always BETTER)

Once you have drafted, then reivised and got your BEST version of each example - (using those language devices above) then...
Create a powerpoint/photostory/animation/song of your poems
