Uncovering Roanoke: Secrets of the Lost Colony

Introduction

In 1587, 119 men, women, and children settled on the island of Roanoke, just off the coast of modern-day North Carolina. Their leader, John White, left to go back to England for more supplies, but was unable to return for three years. When he returned in 1590, the colony had completely disappeared. Only one vague clue was left behind...

The true fate of the colonists at Roanoke has remained a mystery for centuries... until now. The United States Department of Historical Mysteries has hired YOU to find out what really happened. Are you ready for the challenge?

Task

You will first watch several experts in videos on the Lost Colony.

As you listen, take notes in your confidential notebook.

You will back up your theory with three reasons you think it is the true one.
