It is important to be knowledgeable about the states, especially the one you live in. In this webquest you will be exploring the world wide web in search of facts about the state of Illinois. You will be required to answer particular questions laid out on a provided worksheet.
Each question will lead you on a quest to find interesting facts about Illinois. Some of the answers may shock you! Did you know that Illinois has a state fossil? This is just a sample of the neat things that will be discovered through this webquest. By completing the task you will be finding answers to trivia questions. Then you can impress your friends and family with your new found knowledge.
Upon completion of the worksheet (trivia questions) you will be creating a poster to share with your class. You will use with visual media in order to portray what you have learned to the class. It will be your job to teach them the new fun facts that you have acquired. Be sure to look for facts that will shock your friends and possibly even your teacher!

This is what you will follow in order to complete your task. You will need to answer each question completely and correctly. When you have finished you will need to turn your paper into your teacher.
It will be your responsibility to create a poster that will outline the content you have discovered. Upon completion you will be required to present your poster to your class.

Step 3 - Learning About the State You Live In: You will now begin the webquest. Equipped with the worksheet, you will go out on the web and participate in this scavenger hunt. Use the links below in order to search for the answers to your questions. Fill in your worksheet as you find the correct responses. Make sure that you look hard for uncommon, less-known facts about Illinois that are interesting. You will be sharing these with the class.

Step 4 - Create a Poster: Now that you have explored the web and found the answers to the questions, create a poster to share with your fellow classmates. Be creative.
