Plant Structure Research and Poster

Introduction

For the next several days, you will be researching the internal and external structures of plants and mushrooms. Many plants, like animals, have adaptations which allow them to survive and meet their needs in their environment. All plants have four basic needs, and their internal and external structures help them to meet those needs in different ways.

Task

How do a plant's internal and external structures aid in survival?

Your team will work together to draw and label a diagram of the internal and external structures of a non-carnivorous plant, a carnivorous plant, and a mushroom.

Then you will collect information to describe how a plant's internal and external structures aid in survial.

Please read and follow the Teamwork Expectations.

1. Students will research together in teams of 2-3.

2. Each student will draw, look things up on the computer, and take notes.

3. Writer your questions and answers on sticky notes.

4. Each student will use a different colored pencil to show which work they contributed to the group project.
