If I Were An Egyptian

Introduction

You are going to take on a new identity. You are going to become an ancient Egyptian. You will become a scribe and an artisan.

Task

After you complete each project, mark it off. Make sure you read the directions carefully for each project. 

Process

_____ Egyptian Portrait Project 20

On the paper "Egyptian Figure Proportions," choose either Figure 1 or Figure 2. Complete your portrait on the grid. Trace your portrait that you drew on the grid onto a 1/2 sheet of paper and color. You may use markers, colored pencils, or crayons.

_____ Your Name in Hieroglyphics 10

1. Go to this website:

2. Follow the directions on the website.

3. Get a piece of paper from me and copy your name in hieroglyphics. Draw them in pencil, trace with a Sharpie, and color with markers. Beside your name in hieroglyphics, write your real name in Sharpie. Write your name on the back in pencil. Put it in your class basket.

Go to the Hieroglyphic folder and take a paper. Decode the hieroglyphics. To do this go to the website below. When you have decoded the passage from the Book of the Dead, turn in to your class basket.
