Introduction
Technology has never before allowed us to travel in time, but now with new advances you have been given a once in a life time opportunity to travel back into time.
The one stipulation is that you have to travel to the unstable 1860’s, when politics dictated friendships, families, and natural born rights. You must observe and report what is happening in this extremely dangerous quarrel called civil war. In addition, you must make contact with another individual from a different time period that is also in their own civil war. The two of you will become pen pals, writing about your experiences from both wars.
Task
You are assigned the task of researching and writing letters that focus on the beginning and end of the American Civil War and some other civil war of your choosing. You will take on the roll of both characters in this assignment. Your letters should include, but is not limited to, period events, battles, technological advancements, political policy, or characters from those time periods.
