Introduction
Hi guys!
Just a reminder of what we have studied in our classes about transport and technology.
Transport technology is concerned with all types of transport as well as roads, railways, airports and sea ports. Engineers are involved in transport at all levels, from how to make fuels more efficient to designing longer and stronger bridges.
A major challenge for engineers is to design safer and less polluting vehicles. For this, they are in a constant attempt to find new technologies to design cars which run on 'ecologically friendly' fuel, rather than petrol or diesel. The aim is to reduce fuel consumpition and exhaust emissions of CO2.
Based on this information you have to do the designed task in order to discover about cars which were manufactured according to these requirements.
Follow the steps and have fun! :)

Task
Your task is to search the net for details of cars which do not have conventional petrol or diesel engines. Then copy the details into a table for each model.
See the table template in the process part.
Process
Here are the steps of your task:
Step 1
In pairs, braisntorm other sites in which you can find relevant information about the details asked.
Step 2
Surf the web accessing the sites you found out and the sites suggested bellow to collect information to complete your table.

Step 3
Check this table template to create yours and write the information you collected.

Step 4
Make comparisons and decide which model is the most efficient and least polluting.
Step 5
Use a prezi presentation to show your research to the class, explaining the information you collected, and also the conclusions you got. Add pictures to illustrate your work.
Evaluation
| Grading research and presentation | Excellent (3pt.) | Average (2pt.) | Poor (1pt.) | |
| A- Content Knowledge |
Students demosntrated full knowledge about the subject researched. Information was correct and accurate. |
Students demonstrated basic knowledge about the subject researched. Informatuon was not so correct and accurate. |
Students did not have grasp of information. Information was inaccurate. |
|
| B- Oral presentation | Information was presented in an interesting sequence, engaging listners since the beginning. | Information was presented in a normal sequence. |
Sequence of information was difficult to flow. |
|
| C - Conclusions | Students had lots of information to reach a conclusion on the subject. | Students did not have enough information to reach a conclusion on the subject. | Students did not reach a conclusion because of lack of information. | |
Conclusion
After the presentations let's debate on the researches in order to reach a single conclusion about the most efficient and least polluting car model.
- Which car model is the most efficient and least polluting?
