Introduction
Hello year 2 and welcome to the history of transport (flying and planes).Together we are going to explore how people travelled by plane in the past, and compare it to how people travel by plane in the present (ACARA, 2013).
To examine the changes in technology, we will compare past and present transport - specifically planes, by watching videos and looking at photographs from several generations ago, listening to our grandparents, reading stories, and discussing (ACARA, 2013).
This is our fourth WebQuest and it will guide us on our journey back in time to the past, where we will see the very first plane (ACARA,2013). To further our learning we will visit 'Canberra Airport’s AirKidets Flight’scool', where we will see planes from the present, as early as 2002.
There are two focus questions we need to remember during our adventure through the past and the present:
- What is the impact of changing technology on people’s lives in the ways they travelled by plane in the past? (ACARA, 2013)
- How have changes to air transport shaped people’s lives? (ACARA, 2013)
