Grouping Strategies

Introduction

This session is designed to help you facilitate group practice with concrete examples.

Task

You are now a great explorer.  You have scoured the Seven Seas looking for the answer to the age old question of "what makes a great teacher?"  Being a great teacher comes with time, expereince,and stratagies.

First, using chart paper, make a T-chart  that describes the benefits and challenges of group work/practice.

   

Process

You need to answer the following questions using websites.  You will also need to make a foldable to present your work.

What are the characteristics of engaging experiences?

What are three cooperative grouping strategies?

What is a class profile?

What is grouping within RTI?  Give examples on how to do this.
