Today is the best birthday ever. You received your first pet as a very special gift from your favorite family member or friend, but taking care of pets is a very big responsibility. You need to learn how to meet its needs.
Task
Learn all about your new pet. During our research, we will study the animals that you have as your pet. You will find out about what animals need to be healthy and safe. After you have finished your research, you will write a letter to your family member or friend and tell them all about how you are taking care of your new pet.

You will use several resources to identify the needs of your animal
In order to take care of your pet properly, you will need to find out what your animal needs. Here are some questions to help you get started.

2. How much does the pet weigh?
3. What kind of space does the animal need? ex. cage, big yard, soft bedding,
3. What does the pet eat? How much does it eat? How often does it need to be fed?
4. Does the pet need exercise? If so, what kind of exercise does it need? How often does it need to exercise?
5. Are there any safety rules for handling your pet?
6. Does the pet need any special care to stay clean, such as baths, brushing or teeth cleaning?
7. What other special care can you give the pets you are taking care so the owners will trust you to take good care of their pets?
8. Do you think this was a good choice as a pet? Explain why you think it is or is not a good choice.
After you have completed your research, write a letter to Annie to introduce your business to her. Annie is very worried about her pets so explain what you have learned about her animals and how you will take care of them.
Then, create a poster or a brochure to advertise your services. Or you may choose to create an audio (voice only) or video commercial for your business.
