This WebQuest is designed for kindergarten students to assist them with sight word identification. Students will follow the embedded links to web sites that contain sight words at the kindergarten reading level.
Learning Objective
This WebQuest will help students to identify, read, and write sight words from a kindergarten sight word list. It will build sound fluency, vocabulary, and writing skills. This lesson offers auditory, visual, and tactile learning opportuntiies.

Follow the directions on the next page. You will get to play fun word games! And you can win a prize at the end of your quest.

Boys and girls, time for some detective work. Let’s find sight words! Follow the links on the next page. You will learn how read, match, and write your sight words.

Process
Steps to becoming a Sight Word Detective

Detective, you are looking for these words:
1. Click on this link Popcorn Words. Click the word Start. Click the word Next. Click Level 1. Listen to the monkey say the word. Click the correct word on the popcorn box. Try to find all 15 words! Write down 5 of the words you find. If you find all 15 words, you can go on to Level 2.
2. Who's ready to play bingo? Click on the Sight Word Bingo link. Click on the word Go. Click on the word Primer. Click on the word you hear out loud. Write it onto a piece of paper. Listen for the next word. Click on the word you hear. Write it on a piece of paper. Do this until you have 4 in a row and hear the word Bingo!
3. Play Match Game. Click on a star and read the word you see. Click on another star and read the word. If the two words are the same, you have a match! Continue the game until you have matched all the sight words. If you match all of the words, you can go on to Level 2.
