Introduction
Students will learn about life for the Native Americans in the 1600's in Virginia. They will explore and find out about the land, region, clothing, housing, food, daily chores, and language.
Task
Then write a paragraph about Native American life in Virginia in the early 1600's that includes the information gathered from the webquest.
Process
Research to find out about the native Americans in Virginia in the early 1600's. Tells which region they lived in, describes the land and water features of that region, what was eaten in which season and who was responsible for gathering or producing it, describe the type of housing and what it was made of, identify the language they spoke and includes a map to show where that language group lived, and talks about what the clothing was made from.
Then write a paragraph including the information gathered from the webquest.

Website 2: http://www.marinersmuseum.org/sites/micro/cbhf/native/nam030.html The Mariner's Museum has some interesting information. They even have some of Captain John Smith's notes from his journal that gave words that the Native Americans used and what they mean. There is also an interactive map of his travels and the journal notes about the Native Americans he met on his two journeys around the area.
