INTRODUCTION

You want to be a well known art critic and researcher  and have been asked  to gather information and critique some of the most well known  painters and one of their paintings. You will present this artist and his painting to the world.

 

Task

TASK

      You will be studying artists and their work.You will listen to a song about famous artists and then  you will work in groups of four, and each group will choose one famous painter mentioned in the video.  As a researcher and an  art critic it is your job to research this famous painter. Your skills in constructing support will be needed as you decide which artist's painting  you prefer.  

Process

PROCESS

1.First, you will interpret the pictures of your friends created in Art lesson. The pictures  are hanged in pinboard and you will make comments about them  with your own words.

2. Then, you will watch the video  below once (  if neccessary twice )  and name the artists mentioned in the video. The teacher will write your  answers to the board.

3. After that , you will be divided into groups of 4 and every group will choose a painter listed in the board.

4. Then , you will make a web research about the painters you chose from the websites below or any website you found and prepare a poster that gives short information about subjects below. Then, you will present your poster in front of the class.

-Some important paintings of the painter

5. After that, you will choose a one of the paintings of your painter from the link below and write a short paragraph describing your comments, feeling and criticism about the picture. Remember, you are an art critic!

A lot of people have a sterotyped concept of art and think it is art because that's what everybody thinks.
