History

Introduction

In this Webquest, students will learn how to determine history events  and people important to them.

Students will create a timeline of their lives from birth to now. This will help studnets be able to attach events to people and times.

Task

The assignment is create a timeline using thei own lives.

Each students will create a timeline individually.

1. Students will brainstorm about their lives from birth to know.

2. Each stuents get a piece of construction papaer and crayons.

3. The studnets will draw a timeline.

4. They will fill in the timeline with events from their childhood that they remember starting from birth

Process

1. Students will be shown a timeline on the board.

2. Students will provided a definition of a timeline.

3. Then, the teacher will make a timeline with the whole class on the board about the school year.

4. The studnets will be required to think about their childhood.

5. They will write down important events that they remember from their younger years.

6. The students will then create a timeline and input the events that they remember

Conclusion

At the end of this activity the students will have a better understanding events and people. The students will use crtical thinking to mkae their timeline. The timeline is a great way to help students develop an understanding of how events are ordered and why they are important. Students willbe creative and make their own timeline so they their knowledge of timelines and events can be clearly stated.
