Task

Task 1 - Vertebrates

Animals are found everywhere. We give names to each kind. We also divide them into groups. Animals that have backbones are called vertebrates. We divide these animals into five groups: amphibians, birds, fish, mammals, and reptiles. Have you ever asked "What makes a bird a bird, or a reptile a reptile?"
In this activity, you will use websites to research the differences among the five groups of vertebrates. Ask your teacher for a worksheet to fill out as you do your research or print one from the link below:
