Welcome to the Eastern Mediterranean!  You will learn about Jordan, Syria, Turkey, Lebanon, Cyprus, and Israel.  We hope you enjoy our WebQuest! :)

                        

Task

Go to the following websites.  Complete the questions. When you go to the first website, you will be reading about Jordan, Israel, Cyprus, Turkey, Syria, and Lebanon.  You will need to scroll down to the list of countries.

Cyprus

1)  When did Cyprus gain their independence and from whom?

2)  What is the capital of Cyprus and why do you think it's an important city?  (Use map below)

Turkey

1)  What is the highest point in Turkey?

Lebanon

1)  Write a page on the history, geography, people, and economy of Lebanon.  (Use complete sentences and your own words)
