We have discussed that Communism is a type of government in which the economy is almost completely controlled by the government.
In this WebQuest we are going to discover how Communism has impacted China and how Mao Zedong has influinced those changes.
You will explore each website and answer the questions on the paper that I have given you.

Since The Great Leap Foward was such a failure, Mao Zedong had to come up with another plan. There were people who were criticizing his leadership because there were so many lives lost (about 20 million) during The Great Leap Foward due to famine. He believed that he needed to get rid of those people to gain control again. This movement was called The Cultural Revolution. *Create your own copy of "The Little Red book" with quotes from Mao Xedong
*Design a memorial for those protestors who were killed at Tiananmen square. (include how many lives were lost, how many were injured, and jailed) Memorials often include a quote of some kind
*You may complete a different activity of your choosing if you get approval.
