Spring is the season between summer and winter. It follows winter and comes before summer. During spring, the temperature begins to raise, trees begin to grow new leaves, the grass turns green, and flowers bloom again. The first day of spring is on March 20th, and the last day of spring is on June 20th.

Task

TASK: Create a bouquet of flowers using bright colors (like the colors of flowers you see in spring) using your handprint.

Process

1) Select 3 different colors for your flowers

2) Paint one hand in the first color and press onto a blank piece of white paper

3) Repeat step 2 with the other two colors, washing the previous color off your hand inbetween

4) Slightly overlap each handprint on the paper

5) When the flower tops have been created, paint a stem on each one with green; be sure to include the leaves!

6) Have each stem meet together at the bottom

7) FInally, paint a bow around the stems on the paper

Conclusion

CONCLUSION: This project allows students to expose their creativity and artisitic qualities, but also will show an understanding of the basics on the season of spring.
